    Default Projecting lines

Hi. I want to project the lines surrounding a body. I want them to be individual entities so that I can create a boundary around part of my model using one of the lines. When I project the geometry of a face using the geometry from solid tool using body/faces silhouette, it generates the full loop of the object, but as one entity, not as individual lines. If I use the copy from edges option, it does not let me do the actual projection. So I can't work out what to do. I have seen somebody else project the lines around a feature onto a 2d plane, so I know that it's possible. If anybody could help that would be amazing. Thank you.

not sure if this will work for what you want but when you generate the wire from solid, press the 2-D geometry button first and all the wire will be generated on a flat plane at your current Z level selection
