    Default WHAT MILL OPERATION FOR THIS FEATURE

    Hi,

    Im new into 4 axis milling. Would you please tell me how to go about machining the "red profile" as well as the fillet on the edges.Thank you in advance.

    Havent tried it on a 4 axis like that, but you can try the swarf

    Me, I would probably stick the rod into a centred ER32 collet on the mill table and do a simple milling.
    I would use a snug fit pin throught the holes for rotary alignment.

    You have 100mm ER32 collets?

    You have 100mm ER32 collets?
    Oh yeah, along with a bridge to sell.
    There were no dimensions on the jpg as far as I could see.

    Hum - IF 100 mm diameter, then two solid angle brackets at right angles and some solid clamps.

    I reckon I sometimes spend more time figuring out the jigging than doing the machining. It happens that way.

    Yeah, you have to look at the PDF also.

    I hear what you're saying, jigging is half (or more) of the job.
