Hi Jim,
You should be able to just copy the KMotion Folder to the new computer plus any other files you may have created. Similar to upgrading to a new Version. See also here.
Hi all,
Just a quick one. I'm replacing our old CNC lathe computer with a newer and smaller one. Does anyone know the official way of backing up a current Kmotion installation from the old computer and re-installing it onto the new computer without loosing any settings / configs for the lathe.
I want to be able to load up Kmotion as usual and use the lathe without any recalibrations etc.
Thanks

Hi Tom,
Ok I'll give it a go this week. I'll just need to install the KFLOP windows USB drivers, are these located in the Kmotion installation dir? Then copy the directory and hey presto.
Thanks,
Yes they are located in the USB Driver folder.

Hi Tom,
Just got around to doing this. Thanks for the guidance, very simple indeed. Just copied over the Kmotion folder, plugged in the USB to KFLOP and located the drivers in the kmotion folder. All fired up and worked first time.
Thanks again,
Jim
Great thanks for taking the time to post back.
