Its best to use a differential encoder. But KFLOP+KStep doesn't have any differential encoder inputs. So you might use a 3rd party differential receiver such as this. This might be then connected to a KFLOP Single ended Encoder input ie JP5. Encoder resolution should be such that at max RPM KFLOP's maximum cout rate of 1 million quadrature counts/sec is not exceeded.Like to use KFlop + Kstep for controller

That should be possible. When launching KMotion/KMotionCNC which KFLOP to be used needs to be specified as a command line parameter USB Location ID. See here.Is it possible to run 2 KFlops in one PC, 1 for milling machine (allready exists) and a second for the lathe?
