    Default Lathe conversion

    Hi

I will convert a Bernardo BQV550 to CNC.
Like to use KFlop + Kstep for controller
How to connect an ancoder for Spindle to KFlop?
    Which Encoder should be used?

Is it possible to run 2 KFlops in one PC, 1 for milling machine (allready exists) and a second for the lathe?

    BR

Its best to use a differential encoder. But KFLOP+KStep doesn't have any differential encoder inputs. So you might use a 3rd party differential receiver such as this. This might be then connected to a KFLOP Single ended Encoder input ie JP5. Encoder resolution should be such that at max RPM KFLOP's maximum cout rate of 1 million quadrature counts/sec is not exceeded.

That should be possible. When launching KMotion/KMotionCNC which KFLOP to be used needs to be specified as a command line parameter USB Location ID. See here.

    Hi Tom,

is the second KFlop also possible if I use your MACH3 plugin?

No. Mach3 is obsolete and unsupported. Consider using our free KMotionCNC.
