Look ahead blocks in KMOTIONCNC

Hi tom,

I am using dynomotion kflop board and kmotion cnc software. I want to know about look ahead parameter in kmotioncnc.

As i have seen in many cnc machines look ahead parameter is in blocks e.g. 20 blocks. But in kmotion it is not clear that how many blocks kmotion cnc can read ahead . Or i want to know the look ahead blocks in kmotion cnc. ?

I have seen the parameter in trajectory planner that look ahead in seconds , can you give that look ahead seconds to blocks conversion?

Hi Amit,

The Interpreter/Trajectory Planner works ahead as many GCode Blocks as necessary until the planned motion is that amount of time ahead of the current machine position. This can potentially be hundreds of blocks of GCode. It depends on the GCode.
