Default Windows 10 Update Causing KMotion DLL Errors

    Hi All,

I'm using the KFlop with KMotion version 4.33 and 4.34 drivers to control stepper motors on a gantry style robot. The robot is controlled with a PC running Windows 10. When Windows runs an update we get a KMotionDLL error, "No KMotion devices available". This update also resets the KMotion CNC settings and requires a fresh driver install to return to working condition, basically we have to go through the process of setting up KMotion/KFlop on the PC.

Has anyone experienced this issue or have any idea of what could cause this and how to fix the problem?

Thanks for any advice in advance.
    Emery

    Hi Emery,

I haven't experienced or heard of such an issue. Only Drivers from V 4.34 or later should be used with Windows 10. Is your Windows 32 or 64 bit? What Version of Windows are you running? You can use Winver.exe to find this. Mine is Version 1903 (OS Build 1832.418).

Any particular Update causing the issue?

Googling I found this from Microsoft.
