    Default Grounding

I never bothered running a ground wire from the 220V plug, to the J1 connector on KSTEP, so it always just ran of the +/- from the transformer/capacitors, with the ground on the 220V plug cut off. Should i bother running the ground wire to the J1 from the 220V plug?

A system that is mains powered should always be earth grounded for safety.
You should also use it for any motor frame grounding and enclosures etc.
    See NFPA79 for a reference.

Well, the main system should be grounded in terms of safety and in terms of good accessibility as well. On the other hand, I am glad to see that your followers take part in the conversation actively. I need help with assignment that would be really great if you provide.
