DSP_Kmotion.out Date Stamp

Hi Tom and anyone else who has seen this error,

I have been running a waterjet with Mach 3, Kmotion and Kanalogue for over a year but on Sunday it started cutting then faulted and threw a DSP_Kmotion.out Date Stamp doesn't Match Kmotion Firmware (full error attached). I powered down and back up same error, then I installed the current stable Kmotion from the website and flashed the firmware and tried again. Same issue, I tried a few times with no improvement

I have a spare Kmotion board for another project which I can switch out if we think it is dead .

Thoughts?

Hi Chris,

That looks like Status Data is somehow being mixed with Version data. That would more likely be a Version/Software/Mach3/Windows problem rather than a hardware problem with KFLOP.

Can you run KMotion.exe and request the Version from the Console? Can you Compile/Download/Execute C Programs with KMotion.exe?

You might check the registry entry used by Mach3 to find the correct Version of KMotion Libraries:

Use regedit to check if
\Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wi ndows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Mach3.exe contains a path entry to the \KMotion\Release directory of the installed version of KMotion.

so after a month of only intermittent issues the error came back with a vengeance

Seemed to go back to only occasional issues with a flash, should we be looking at a power supply issue or could the Kflop board be dying?

What does that mean?

Did you check the Registry?

Can you Compile/Download/Execute C Programs with KMotion.exe?

You might try updating the Windows USB Driver for KFLOP to the drivers in V4.34
