    There are no problems or shortfalls with the Kflop/kmotion system. Everything works very well and you have the flexibility to do anything you want with it. Its an amazing package if you take the time to set it up properly.

    Some of the original posters problems are caused because he is using Mach3. There is no need to use Mach3 with Kflop, everything you need to do can be done with KmotionCNC and there wont be any compatibility issues. Using Mach3 adds complication and is a step backwards in performance IMO.

    Hi swat cat,

    I have some issues:
    1.i have home position set to 0,0. When i cycle start the g code te machine goes over the machine 0 point , in to hardware limits. After i hit stop and rewinde all is ok. Is going to machine 0.

    2. G code request a tool change but not updating actual tool.Must type manualy.

    3. Tool offset are weird. In the video, make tool change, cycle start. It takes a tool offset. But it s not the set one. I press stop and type again tool number the it takes the good tool offset.
    I'm not that familiar with Mach3 Tool Offsets and its hard to follow what you are doing and read the GCode.

    But do you realize that in GCode the Hxxx word normally determines which tool offset to use not the Txxxx word? It seems to me to use the offset for Tool #20 you should have a H20G43

    Hi swat cat,

    We don't have an examples for that with Mach3. You might consider 3 approaches:

    #1 - change SetFROwithPot.c to call SetFRO() within KFLOP instead of sending a request to KMotionCNC (which Mach3 would ignore). The disadvantage here is that the Mach3 FRO will not update and be out of sync with the Potentiometer. The FRO should have an immediate effect.

    #2 - Create a C Program to periodically read the ADC and place the value into a KFLOP Persist Variable. Create a Mach3 macro pump Basic program that periodically runs and requests the variable into a Mach3 DRO and commands the Mach3 FRO based on the value. In this way the On Screen FRO should basically show the Potentiometer Value. There will be a delay before any buffered trajectory sees the effect.

    #3 - switch to KMotionCNC

    Hello. i have kanalog and i use 3 axis with closed loop +/-10v.

    I need a 4th axis to wire with step dir.
    Can i use jp4 or jp6 with a logic converter to 5v?

    Hi swat cat,

    Kanalog opto outputs are not Step/Dir Outputs. For a solution see:

    Hi swat cat,

    I can’t read the GCode you are running. Please post it.

    What Version of Mach3 and KMotion are you running?

    Hi swat cat,

    Your GCode seems to run correctly for me with those Versions. Maybe something special with your configuration. Please post your Mach3 XML File and your Initialization C Program.

    Hi swat cat,

    I still can't replicate the problem. It seems you forgot to include your Initialization C Program. Also the GCode looks different than that in your Video. Did you verify it fails with the GCode you sent me?

    Hi, swat cat, I have now the same task with my Deckel-Maho DMU-35. There are sinus encoders 1Vpp. How did You solve your problem?

    My maho had sinus 10uA linerar encoders and the original cnc control had an aditional boar inside that converted de sine wave to 10x interpolation of square wave. That was my luck. But on ebay you ca find interpolation modules to do that.

    I want to migrade from Mach3 to Kmotion. I`ve set all the parameters. is working ok. but i have a PLC to control the gearbox for the spindle. From mach3 i send the over Modbuss the spindle Speed request.

    So i neet the Kflop to be the Master and write the Holding Register adress 0 on the slave ID 0.

    So i gues i will use ModbusMasterVer1.c

    Tom can you help me?

    Hi swat cat,

    Isn't it slave ID 2 not 0?

    Try these changes to ModbusMasterVer1.c:

    Change the baud rate:

    Code:
    	EnableRS232Cmds(RS232_BAUD_19200);

    Change to do only 1 Write of 1 register to the PLC on both initial connection and monitor loop - Device=2 Address=0000 Length=0001

    Code:
    ModbusMaster_Cmds ModbusMaster_ConnectList[] =
    {
    	// string is "dev,cmd,adrhi,adrlo,lenhi,lenlo" bytes of modbus command. bytelen, data, and checksum are added.
    	{"\x02\x10\x00\x00\x00\x01", 6, 0},	// Write outputs from MBRegisters[0]
    	{0,0,0}	// end flag
    };

    ModbusMaster_Cmds ModbusMaster_MonitorList[] =
    {
    	// string is "dev,cmd,adrhi,adrlo,lenhi,lenlo" bytes of modbus command. bytelen, data, and checksum are added as necessary.
    	{"\x02\x10\x00\x00\x00\x01", 6, 0},	// Write outputs from MBRegisters[0]
    	{0,0,0}	// end flag
    };

    As a test just put a fixed value in the ModBus register to be sent

    Code:
    // marshal and move values read from PLC/Slave into MBRegisters to KFlop memory
    void ModbusMaster_RegUnload()
    {
    	// nothing to read
    }

    // marshal and move values to be sent to PLC/Slave into MBRegisters
    void ModbusMaster_RegLoad()
    {
    	// put RPM into a Output Register
    	MBRegisters[0] = 1000;	// Set fixed integer RPM value as a test
    }
