dynapath 10 - MDI?
i've been learning my dynapath 10 controller and i've got the hang of jogging, setting zeros, setting tool lengths, sending gcode, running gcode. One thing i've not found is how to manually send a command through an MDI interface or something like that.
if i want to walk up to the machine and say go to x_, y_, z_ coordinate, it would be nice to just hand type that command at the console. simpler yet, what if i just want to walk up and turn on the spindle.
do i really have to create a new program and go through the conversational interface for those 1 line commands?

...it is odd that Dynapath did not have a MDI mode. a work around (for me) was to create in the Catalog a program called MDI, then using Mode Select> (4) >Event Type>EIA then Enter commands, then use Store/Run or Cycle Start (not sure about which your machine has for soft keys) to execute commands.

If it's anything like the Delta40, then MDI mode is accessed as follows.
Enter program mode 3.
For the N# type only "N." then enter.
Now you can enter commands on this one "line" and hit cycle start. Then change the line and hit cycle start as many times as you like for MDI commands.
One warning, I usually do this in whatever program is active and it does not change the program UNLESS I forget to type N . ENTER first. Then I am changing the first line of the program.
