UCCNC does not really have a lathe mode, so I'd say the Acorn wins easily.
I have a DM3000 lathe, with factory everything. Planning on rebuilding it soon. My last DM3000 was rebuilt with Gecko 540, CNC4PC BOB. I'm thinking of going a different route with this build.
What's the opinion? Centroid Acorn CNC? or UCCNC?
I want to use the rotary tool turret.
Looking for what you would use - and why?

Thanks Ger. I know you know everybody in the industry -including UCCNC - you should get them on the stick! Really thinking about going the acorn route on the DM3000. Their website leaves a lot to be desired. There are a good bit of YouTube videos out, though.

They do have a user forum as well.
