cant figure out simple Z profile on straight contour

i just want to have a simple arc down and back out of a straight line. holy jeez i have tried like a 100 times in the decade of using this and still cant do it.......
i have played with the examples and just want to punch a baby dolphin in the toothy mouth!

You will need to do the maths. There are no g-code instructions for this.

I'm sorry but I don't understand your reply.

All you need to do is draw the arc, you can do this by using the three point arc option and choosing the first end point, middle point and second end point.

Ah - you are using a CAD system? I understand.
I was talking about trying to use the G2/G3 instructions in the XZ or YZ planes, in Mach3.
