Very clean build, looks like you took some inspiration from Piotr's machine. Cuts look great.
Hi all, This is my small build. Base is made of structural concrete and the rest is just some steel box tubing for the gantry and some 20mm aluminum brackets and plates. Nema23 3nm closed loop steppers, ballscrews etc... Work in progress. You can see it cutting in my YouTube channel.

Hi Luke, thanks!
I said that to him hours before you wrote it Lol
My build is light years away from his... In all shape and form ahahh
That said, it's still ahead of what I thought I could do, so... I'm proud and happy with it.
Having fun so far
Really nice looking machine...well done!
Looks very nice. Well done.
I hate my aluminum extrusion router and will most probably build something like yours.

Hi all,
New part to upgrade the machine and improve rigidity.
Hope this video has a bit more quality.
Cheers
Hi guys,
One year after designing and 3D printing a prototype that failed because it wasn't water proof, finally machined the housing from aluminum.
I'm really happy with how it came out.
It was a really cool project.
Hope you enjoy it too.
Tomorrow will try to make this project.
Been dreaming for a on-board probe for a long time.
Hope it goes well... in CAD always looks nice Lol
First part is done and test fitted.
Looks amazing, can't wait to see when it is finished.

Today machined the other 2 parts for the on-board probe assembly.
Never had to do parts so small and with 3 side operations.
Project is not finished yet and it's been a hard task lol
Here's some pics and a short video of a test probing Z.
Still got to paint all the parts black and 3D print the XYZ lettering in orange/red...

Prototyping the connections and cable management to look as clean as possible.
So that I don't even have to plug and unplug the USB to the probe.
Looking sexy...
What a nice machine you have built for yourself...I am in the process of putting together a game plan on a foundation in which to build mine on but am always looking for something which maybe more ridged...I tried to find more on this build but haven't any success and tried the Piotr's with no success...Could somebody help direct me to the foundation of a build such as this...
Thanks
Paul
heyhow is your machine going ?

I meant no disrespect Just stating what was said earlier...
In all fairness I had no idea who this Piotr was but soon learned about the machine he made...
My apologies if there was something offensive made...
Could you kind of let us know where you got the theory from on this build?
Could you describe a bit more on the foundation? is this complete concrete, rebar of some sort, or is there metal inlayed inside the concrete for the components attached?
As I stated earlier, I'm in the design process and always looking for a better game plan if its within my realm of fabrication...
Inquiring minds would like to know...
Thanks
Paul
