Question Stepper Motor Wire Strain Relief

I have some inexpensive NEMA 23 stepper motors. Other than a small rubber grommet where the stepper wire exits the stator/housing, I don't see much in the way of strain relief.

I'm mainly concerned about the motors on moving parts of my CNC router.

Is anything else done to provide strain relief to the wires before you can get them in a clamp or conduit?

The only thing I can really think of is a glob of RTV silicone applied where the wires exit the motor. It would provide some resiliant support for the wires.
