Have you verified that your steps per unit settings are correct on Y? Have you checked the backlash?
New to cnc cutting i am have problems with my cnc table it seems to be cutting 2mm shorter on the Y axis not to shore how to solve this or where to start hope i have put this in post in the right place and help would be gratefully received thanks Dave

i have set up as per instructions that came with the cnc not sure about backlash what this is (very new to this)
setting i have are
$100=26.667
$101=26.667
What type of mechanism moves the axis?If it is belt driven, there is the possibility of a bit of slack in the belt.Maybe you could post an image or two of the troublesome axis components.
did you change the y steps to the same as the x
they are exactly the same as it is a 1500mm x 1500mm machine and here are the settings that can with the machine
The y and x are different normally they should be the same
To my eyes, the x and y values are the same with the exception of the maximum travel. This probably reflects the different lengths of travel on those axes on the sample machine.
Looking at the photographs of the machine It is clear that it relies on a toothed belt for motion.I would begin by checking that the pulleys haven't worked loose and that the belts have no slack as either of these things could cause the backlash that was mentioned earlier.
thenumbers are not the same. change the y to the x number $100=26.667
$100=26.667
$101=26.667
i have know i dear how to move this to the right place and to the people that have helped thanks the, x y limits are different but the step/mm are the same
