    CORRECTION!

    Sorry about the typo.
Email to Teknic has been corrected as well.

With the servo enabled, the voltage between the “measurement points" reads 0.197 Volts.

With the servo disabled, the voltage between the “measurement points" reads 4.96 Volts.

    .

    No email yet from Teknic.

In the meantime, I will resurface the BB ply spoil board.

I will use a 1.5" Freud surfacing bit and I will also run the
DC while doing it but without any brush, just the two DC
hoses to see just how much dust and debris it captures by itself.

The two hoses (pipes) are about 4-1/2" above the cutter:

To see the remaining dust and particles, two black painted
plastic strips are placed to the front and the side:

    Front transparent screen in place.
Blue crosses are taped to the screen:

    Email from Teknic:

    Hi David,

Thanks for the information. The voltages that you're reading should be sufficient for accurate functionality with the HLFB and your controller.

I would recommend next to test if the controller is correctly reading the HLFB change for this 1 axis.
Once this is completed, repeat this entire test with 2 motors HLFB wired up
(Measure the voltage between the two "measurement points" and verify that the controller is accurately functioning).
After we get 2 motors working, lets move up to 3.
    Technical theory and our approach:

In reviewing the C11G breakout, there is a possibility that the resistor alone may not be appropriate for a 4 HLFB system; the current drop between each servo may significant enough where the HLFB is not triggered. We expect to see a higher disabled voltage as the number of motors increase. (For example, the voltage may be 0.4 Volts instead of 0.197 Volts for a 2 motor system).

The good news is that we may be able to use a different resistor or a 2nd resistor in parallel. Increasing the number of motors one at a time will help to give us a better understanding of the behavior of the circuit for recommendations moving forward.

    Best,

So in other words, they don't know anymore than you do on how to make it work?

I ran the dust shoe base without the brush. Just the
two suction pipes coming down to the dust shoe base.

Although it doesn't suck up any particles from the bottom at
that distance, the pipes do suck up quite a bit of floating dust.

Look closely at the pipe ends:

Most of the dust and particles are
contained on the bed behind the screen:

Some, mostly larger particles on the laptop, not much dust I could see:

    Or around the machine:

Yes, thats it. And they designed the product.
