    Of cause it has to be shielded for this type of use what is the flex rate of the cable you have ordered this is important also if your spindle motor is mounted on a Z axes

    So there is no movement with the cable, then you could of used a much cheaper alternative, it helps everyone if the poster gives all the information as to what they are doing type of motor / spindle VFD Etc

    Will do.

    So for the WTF of the day I have....

    Probotix controller, nema34s 8 wire.

    I wired these up parallel correctly per manu. and the controller would not respond, well move the motors. Mach said the motor was moving but nope.
    Pro setup is Bipolar only from a email by the Co.

    I did some juice chasing and it was at the drivers out when I jogged...so I descided to wire them series and they worked...???...

    So the question is what is happening here. I was hoping to use max torque poss on the motors....soooo what am I not getting here.

    Sorry about the dumb questions I had to walk away from this project 5 yrs ago...life.

    Most likely a wiring issue. If they work when wired series, they should work when wired parallel.

    Ah ya. The wiring diagram I got wasn't correct.... even had the motors number. Shes moving on 2 axis now. Still have to weld up Y mounts.
