almost finish still have to work on cable management and some works with sensor
Great looking machine...that control station looks like something from a 60's sci-fi movie! Awesome!!
Today I worked with cable management and as you can see in picture I don't calculate the length for cable chain correct so I think I need more about 250mm for X and Y and so I order 1 meter, but the problem it will arrive between 27 FEB and 20 MAR
so I Think from now and until the Cable chain arrive I will WORK WITH SENSORS AND OTHER thinks
last week I install the limit switch and connecting Pc to Mach 3
Last week i put the main Plate for Bed it's aluminum 10mm THK Then I try To alignment the spindle For horizontal it was not hard just tie the secrow a little bit the push the spindle in opposite direction and read the indicator
for vertical side I think i'm to far about 0.25++ mm so if any body have any idea how to alignment the vertical side for spindle please help
I try to put shims but it's not give good result ( it to match or not enough )
Get a feeler gauge set Proto to sacrifice; it will give you various thicknesses of shim in the range you need.

When I'm tramming my router, I cut shims in aluminium beer can and finish with cooking aluminium paper foil.. The beer can is 0.004 thick and the foil is roughly 0.0007.
Not as precise as awerby's solution though
Last 2 weeks I make some test
and finally I can say the machine work stable
first complete Test with aluminum
I use End mill 6 mm 2 flute and end mill 2 mm for small corner
