Wow, this looks great. What do you make with it? Is this your own design?
Hello to everyone. First, sorry for bad English. I am Arman from Armenia. Want to introduce my latest project - 5 axis CNC router with rotary head... Here is videos, later I will add pictures if interest...
P.S. Could not add more than one video, so everybody can see other videos on my channel on youtube...
Here are some pics so far...

Thank. I made this CNC for my friend. Hi is going to make mostly chair backs. And yes, this is my own design. I made this CNC 100% from scratch and alone. It was very hard...
Very Impressive! I would love to see more.
Agree with others,seriously impressive.Congratulations.
Work area? Head design? -belt or gear drive, bearings. How long to build? Please show more pictures.
Looks big enough to do car bodies(in sections) or similar.Amazing.
Thanks for showing us.
Work area is 3500*1800*600mm. B/C rotary head angles - 0/+500 degrees for C axis, -125/+125 degrees for B axis. I used two harmonic drive gearheads with 1/101 reduction. Have ordered them from china supplyer, and now I have problem with one of them, and the problem is vibration. The building process takes from me about 6 months. Here below more pictures of building process.
Thats really Nice work - keep us posted if its working now - on production.
Can you give us some more details on what servo motors you have used. and how much the ATC spindle cost you.
I see how you determined the maximum height! What did you do to ensure the 4 rails on the long axis were aligned?
building this... its more than a """DIY"" project..
all i could say, if you invested this tremendous work, the height should be taller.. the 600 mm height sounds too little..
either way , lowering the floor in the workarea, or raising the ceiling could be a viable solution..
this machine worth more than a simple building, and works are dont coming as ""max 600 mm"""
my another opinion, for chair backs... this machine too much.. , but you can build boathulls, or custom patterns for vehicle parts, like fenders.. this machine just too expenses for chair backs :-) mightbe some foampatterns for aircraft parts, like wings..
Incredible.
skedram... very cool build we have get more photo of your 4, 5 th axis..
I have been seriously thinking about building a 5 axis machine also, but have found very limited info/ no posts ... about setting up a atc spindle on cnczone with mach
Can you share, with us the techincal details for the phnematic solinode and ie schematic the type valve you used etc how you wired it to the bob.. and perhaps a video showing how your atc phnematic and solenoid you used.

Awesome work!
What size servos motors did you use on all your axis?
This is by far the coolest 5 axis machine built from scratch I have ever seen. I am in the middle of designing a 5-axis machine, still at least 2 months out before I start ordering parts. Thanks for the pics.
Oh, it's really amazing. You weld this big machine body by yourself? How you ensure levelness of this 5 axis cnc router
What post processor are you using with mach3, what software are you using to generate 5 axis cam g files
Can your share your electrical schematic and pnuematic schematics
I know you finished this cnc some time ago... any pictures of your long y axis rail alignment ie right side left side of machine frame
