Those are the rails I used. I went with 16mm ones. You can kinda see how I used them.
Thanks. I see there are quite a few offerings on Ebay for those rails. Right now I would have no idea how to modify what I have to use them but I am sure I'll figure it out later on. I'll have to look for plans that use those rails and see how it is done.

That's a cool looking machine. I'd like some more info on your build please. Just PM me if you want.
tatinc2000 instead of PM ing Antennas more details of your build why not post them here and let us all see them?
Your machine is a great looking machine and I too would love to see/learn more about it and the build.
Thanks,
Keith
I don't want to hijack this topic with my own stuff. When I get home I will throw together a build thread. I lost a lot of the early stage pictures so I will shoot some close ups. It will be about a week before I can do it, I have to go sit at the cabin and have some cocktails and food for the next week.
Sounds good, we'll wait!! LOL..
Yeah its a tough life isn't it tatinc2000?
Having to sit at the cabin is the price you pay to be able to play with you cnc
enjoy the break!!!!!
heres a link to my build.

I seen this table on reddit: New Table - Imgur
I got the legs designed. They are 23" tall and the middle shelf is made for 3/4" thick wood.

Caution: Rant Ahead
So I turned on my Dewalt DWP611 the other day to a shower of sparks, the motor brushes are done and its barely a year old. They are simple to replace but getting a set of replacements in a timely manner is proving impossible. I have a sign to make with a deadline of the 28th and my overnight order I place on Thursday afternoon from the Dewalt service website is still "Processing". Guess its time for a Porter Cable 690.

I have an extra router just in case along with bearings, motor most everything I need to repair my machine less a PC.

Can't do much for the short life of the brushes. ereplacementparts.com may be a better source.
The rocker switch quit working on one of my DWP611 routers during a tool change awhile back. I installed my spare DWP611 and kept going. I haven't tried getting a new switch for it yet.
If I can find a toggle switch that will fit I may use it instead. I don't care much for the rocker switches with plastic dust covers due to poor failure rate on tools I have had. For now, I'll straight wire the router switch and use a light switch and box in the router's AC power line is a better alternative to wearing out the little switches .

Make sure you can get parts for the PC690. Up until a year ago, I could not get parts locally.. And even now, I have to order most parts. Brush caps and brushes are good extra's to have on hand as well as upper/lower bearing set.

I did the same thing c1. Switch on my router went out instead of replacing I put an outlet controlled by a switch.
Chuck
I already do that on my big machine with an M12VC router on it. A box and light switch is mounted to one leg near where I work from. When I finish the next round of upgrades to the frame and gantry I hope to have the PC7518 router mounted on it, with on/off controlled by the same switch box.

My router is always on. I never use the switch. I have it controlled by Mach3 and a relay. It's also controlled by the superpid2 run signal. Mach3 on a M3 command sends a run signal to the superpid2 and also turns on a relay which is supplying power to from the superpid to the router.

I had though of using a relay, but hasn't gotten as far as looking for a5v relay. What relay are you using colten?
Chuck
Just a 12v relay. You really need to have a safety interlock though if just using a relay. This is what the superpid provides. without the run signal, the superpid cannot power up the router because the router relay is off.
