    Question What is a TB6560-V2?

Can't seem to find any sites to explain what a TB6560-V2 as opposed to a TB6560.

Considering these two purchase sources for a kit and wonder what I would be getting for the extra money for the first one with the V2.

The second one has a bigger power supply and is about $40 less.

Found this article about problems with the TB6560 and a fix- [FIX] How to fix Chinese TB6560 Stepper controller - Sonsivri

Does anyone know if the V2 board fixed those issues?

Page 2 of the V2 manual.....

......may answer that question but I don't understand the terminology well enough to know.

If you mean BL-TB6560 - V2 , it's a single axis driver using TB6560 chip without the breakout circuit that connects to PC parallel port.

The cnc kits you listed comes with the breakout circuit and motor driver chips (3 or 4 axis) in one pcb.

The V2 works but it does not have protection diodes at the outputs and the all in one boards too.So check carefully.Plus
most do not have power sequencing of 5V logic signals ( must come first) and motor 24V supply which can damaged the driver. TB6600 or other varient does not have this
problem but nonetheless it's good to have protection diodes for backemf from the motors.
