Default 2005 Daewoo Puma 240L stops for no reason before G97.

    Mystery fail.
    There’s no alarm.
It stops in mid program just before the G97 line, (Retraction of turret before next tool)
It occurs after ten to twelve hours of continuous use.

    Has anyone seen this??
I have found with and without spindle rotation, the coolant is flowing and the tool has reached its safe X and Z out of the material.
There are NO alarm messages no indication that it has a problem.
It’s just sitting there on the X and Z line, before G97.
And it happens nearly 11 hours after it was first started and began running parts.

I suspect a proximity sensor is failing with time as it heats up and losing a accurate field of view. Possible relay, failure.

Other issues that may not be related:
The quick setter arm... when used had errors as much as 20 thousandth inaccuracies.
Currently the quick setter no longer provides a change in tool length.

    Any thoughts are welcome.

    http://jamet.com/Fanuc_Web_Manuals/C...cy/63005en.pdf
I guessed at your control that is on your machine.
The above link is to a maintenance manual for a 21i control.
Around page 300 or so is the reasons why FANUC would not function and NOT give an alarm.

If it is a Daewoo (Doosan) ladder issue, trace can be used to compare sections of operations that do function to one that does not.

Instructions for how to Trace on a 16i/18i/21i re located in the Tec Docs post dated 05-09-2015, 08:22 PM on this thread: https://www.cnczone.com/forums/daewo...bulletins.html

There is a similar titled thread (I posted same day) with approximately 15 exchanges that discussed symptoms with photos.
*This current thread was my first ever post on the site.
*The thread with exchanges is listed within the Daewoo/Doosan forum.

    Yes. I read it.

The document I attached, and the one that I referenced go into ALL the ways to check/verify what is occurring.

Please apply/use the information to gather understanding.

I can be reached at the numbers/addresses displayed in the footer of any of my posts, to help decipher the information gathered.

...or a better understanding of how to gather it.

I would still use those methods to formulate a diagnosis of what is occurring...

    The heat issue still exists.
It’s being generated by the repeated acceleration and braking during part production.
*Running the spindle at 3500rpm continuously for 8 minutes the temperature went down. (S3500 M3 EOB)
*During part production the temps reach 71 Celsius and when I opened the rear cabinet doors to capture diagnostic fault information, it was like opening a oven door.
