I have a Dooson Puma 2600MS, that sets for long periods of time. I believe the machine is an 2007 model. I went to turn it on and now it has lost its home position for the X and Z axis. I replaced all of the batteries, and i still cannot home my machine. I was hoping someone could help walk me thru the procedure of redefining my home position for this machine. Thank you, and have a great day

thank you, i will give it a go this morning. I appreciate it
update.. So i was able to get the machine to where i could home it again, it appears to be (after several attempts) at the correct spot. Which leads me to my next issue. I have a few holders that use to be centered up if the offset data for the X axis was entered as 0.000... Now to achieve center on this holder my offset data has to be 0.7901. I touched off one of my turning tools, and the X axis seems to be reading correctly to the quicksetter. I am curious now how to correct this, and what would have lead to this issue.
If your newly found (Correct) "Home" was the same as your previous (Correct) "Home" they would be the same.
If your newly found "Home" was corrected from a wrongly placed previous "Home" they would be different.
Anytime "Home" moves...anything that uses "Home" to understand its location, moves as well.
Distance of Soft overtravel's relation to hard overtravel
Tool Change position (VMC, HMC, MX, and Ram-style vertical Lathes)
Touch setter, and Q-setters
Recalibrate these positions using parameters.
Exact procedures need to match your system, so serial number is needed.

This is the link to a shareable (Too large to post here, or email) manual for the Full teardown and rebuild of a Puma 2100sy (The little brother to your machine.) The parts are different, but the procedures are similar.

I think this thread just fixed my Quick Setter issue.
