    Default RS 232 data transfer

    Hi,

We just replace our old Daewoo lathe with brand new Doosan, Fanuc i- series.
Some problems with RS232 data transfer: when program is transferred from nc to computer there is some strange marks at start of program or two % mark.
We might have some parameter wrong because old machine worked just fine. Here is example:

    %%
    O0003
    M01
    M05
    M00
    M30
    %

Any idea what could be wrong in parameters?
EDIT: Between %% marks could be some special mark, for some reason i could not copypaste them

    Thanks,

It used to be normal for Fanuc to use % mark at the start and end of the PGM, they were originally for turning ON/OFF the tape reader or tape punch.

We have a guide specifically for Ethernet and RS-232 connections on Doosan Machines, please see the PDF attachment.
RS-232 instructions start on pg 18.
