Has any body rebuilt the spindle on a Deawoo Lynx?

Yes people have, but it is not something that you learn to do in a conversation.

I repair Doosan (Daewoo) machines. I can tear it all the way down to a pile of bolts and put it back together correctly...and it will work correctly and accurately.

Even I do not rebuild spindles. They require more precision and tighter specs than any other component on the machine.

Could I rebuild a spindle? Yes.

Would it be perfect? I doubt I could do it perfect, even with the knowledge at my disposal.

Doosan has rebuild department that good prices and quick turnaround, and factory specification quality.

From what you are saying am I right to assume that Doosan techs are not trained to rebuild spindles in the field? They remove the complete headstock and send it in for spindle rebuilds? Just curious, Thanks

I am a Doosan Tech. I have been trained to repair spindles.

Let's say, "it's not what I'm best at."

I can tear your whole machine apart and reassemble it. I will have it functioning better afterwards, than before.

We have Doosan techs who focus on field spindle repairs.

Louis Oh is one of the Spindle Specialists. So devoted that he is not sent on ballscrew or geometry issues.

Every Doosan senior tech understand what is needed for full machine repairs. Each one eventually comes to understand where their skills are best focused.

Thanks for the response and that makes sense. It's good to hear that the complete headstock doesn't always have to be removed and sent in as that is a lot of extra work.

I'm not a Doosan tech but I have rebuilt the spindles, actuators, hydraulic pumps, turrets, etc, and installed all new Rulon and scraped the slides back in to factory specs. I don't consider myself an expert at anything but my favorite thing to do is rebuild spindles.
