Default Puma 240 MC NEED HELP

I have a 2013 Doosan Puma 240 MC. We are getting an alarm code of #2154 Change the encoder backup batter in servo drive. The servo is a vision. We have changed battery 3 times and still alarming out and shutting us down. Anyone else have this type of problem???? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What is the voltage of the battery that you are using as a replacement?

What is the resistance on the terminals that you are about to attach the battery to? (located on the servo drive when the battery is NOT ye installed)

We put a meter on the terminal that the battery plugs into ( on the vision servo unit in the electrical cabinet) and it tested at .56 volts and 27 meg ohms. The battery unplugged tested at 3.6 volts. The machine is alarming out during a drill or bore operation when the machine moves down to X=0 on center of the chuck. Has happened during drilling with live tool and also with a boring bar. Faults out with a 2154 alarm about .500"-1.0" deep, telling us to replace battery (battery low) in turret servo. We have to power the whole machine down and back up to reset. What are your thoughts on this.

If it only has an issue in one location, it is likely that is something shorting in the cable, when in that location. Came out the cable and check to see that it not only has everything you expected to have, but there is nothing that you don't expect to have. Like a short somewhere.

hey dhardt, I am having an issue with my puma 300 we changed the battery in the vision c servo driver and the alarm went away but now the machine seems to have lost its home . When it index it does sound right and it only makes it thru about half of the tool change cycle and then locks up and then times out . Is there a procedure to rehome the turret ?
