Are the parameters in the machine set to the same as the parameters in the Blue Book for the vision Drive?
When you use K5.4 to unclamp the turret and then rotate it around 360 degrees by hand does VPF.M turn on and off 12 times?
Had a pretty big crash the other day.
I think it was bigger than they let on, because the chuck jaw was laying in the bottom of the machine......OUCH
after we replaced the inner and outer pins. we are having issues with turret not indexing properly.
we set at tool 1 and did the home sequence as explained in the vision manual starting page 20.
but when we index. it does not index the proper amount.
and when we go from tool 1 to say tool 5 and then back to tool 1. it does not go back to the proper place for tool 1.
I think I got things wrong in the parameters somewhere. but cant figure it out.
it is a 12 pos turret.
vision drive is dvcs -tm series
Thanks in advance
Mike

And don't forget, if you ran the turret into the Chuck, odds are that you have caused a taper in the main spindle that needs to be corrected before you can actually fix the turret.

Can you tell me how to check the VPF.M?
I did check the parameters against the sheet that was in the electric cabinet. Most were the same. a few were different. Is this sheet good to use? or is it generic settings from factory?
I should be able to do the x and z alignment on the turret and then do the spindle alignment. Or am I missing something?
Thanks again
Mike
