Hi,
if you go to the Mach Forum you'll be told that Novosun is on the blacklist because they peddle pirate Mach3 liceneses
and you'll get no help.
If you want support get a different controller like an Ethernet SmoothStepper or a UC300.

Hi,
I am just retrofitting a lathe and am using a Novusun EC500 controller.
https://www.nvcnc.net/ec500.html
The output for pwm and also digital out 1 and 2 for cw and ccw won't have any signal.
I configured it following the manual, but still without success.
I also tried different setups different pins. No success.
GNDS and VSO for the 0..10V input at the Vacon NXS drive
com- and OT1 CW OT2 CCW
Ports and pins
Motor outputs
Spindle enabled / StepPin 1 / DirPin 0 / Step LowActive / Step Port 1 Dir Port 0
Spindle Setup
CW Output 1 / CCW Out 2 / Use spindle outputs / PWM Control / Base 5 / Min 0 /
Output Signals
Out 1 enabled / Port 2 / Pin 1 / Active Low
Out 2 enabled / Port 2 / Pin 2 / Active Low
I can not measure any output at the connectors.
Thanks for your help...

No you can configure it for PWM output, you want to configure it for 0-10v not PWM
I would say your problem is that your Ports and Pins in Mach3 don't match with the Novusun
You can't use PWM output to control the VFD Drive although some VFD Drives can take a PWM signals most only have 0-10v as the main input for speed control

Very helpful reply.
I have a legal license purchased.
Hi,
I am having already one machine with the same Vacon Drive. PWM works perfectly on the 0..10V input.
Unfortunately the manual is not very clear.
I will try the pinsetup today again.
Thanks
Hello abc123456789!
Did you receive a cd with this control?
I'm looking for a .bin file to reset the firmware on mine
Thanks
