Galil Threading on a Lathe

Does anyone have a lathe threading code snippet for a Galil 18x6 controller. I'm trying to figure out the best way to use the spindle index pulse to trigger the GA. B axis is the spindle, C axis is the Z.

My thoughts are:

Stage X and Z to a start position
Wait for spindle index pulse (this is where I get a bit confused on the timing)
Set GA
Use GD to sync up the axes
Feed to the end of the thread
Disengage GA mode
Retract X
Rapid back to Z start
Rinse, repeat until thread is at proper depth

Thoughts? Details?

Al did you have any luck getting this to work? I read through some of the old threads on this subject.
