which cnc motion controller for mach 3 ?

hi guys,

Im looking to change my gecko 540 in to some other good cnc controller.
not sure what is the difference between Ethernet and USB, is there any?

I'm looking for something reliable/stable/fast and with some room to expand.

windows based.

Ethernet is less prone to interference.
I bought a Ethernet Smooth Stepper ( ESS) with a MB3 BOB from CNCRoom.
Not really experienced but it works nice.

UC300eth-5lpt is a good option. It also lets you run UCCNC, which is nice since Mach3 isn't being updated.

has good speed, easy to install and plenty of outputs.

UC400ETH. It has less in and outputs but enough for my plasma machine.
AXBB-E is also a good option because it has integrated breakout board.
