Default SYNTEC EZ4 Z-Axis Hardware Limit

    Hello All,

I know a lot of folks here have used SYNTEC controllers before, I'm having a problem with the following error:

MOT 025 Z Axis Positive Hardware Limit

where I can only rotate the servo one way with the SYNTEC HMI. I've checked the proximity sensor and its registering with the board in the PLC. Also the servo is connected to a DELTA servo driver where I can rotate it CW/CCW no problem. If I remove the connection between the SYNTEC controller an the servo drive before starting up the machine I get the same problem, thus I don't know which signal I'm missing. Thanks in advance for any help/tips!

    Regards,

    Mol Mott

Thats usually tied to the limit switch. Hardware limit will usually be a normally closed switch that breaks when the z hits the limit. If your Z axis is not at the very top of the machine and you are getting this alarm I would guess that the wire to the normally closed switch broke.
