Good morning everyone,

I have a universal schaublin 102 lathe.
I built a divider to put on the back of the head.
The point of this divider, it includes a rotary encoder and it can be used with stepper motor or handwheel.

THe prototype is being made but i hesitate on the controller part.
I can make a custom controller with stm32 ( i already built few projects with a rotary encoder and stm32) but in the end, the user interface (graphic and physical one) are not as good as chinese DRO for example.
So I'm looking for a kind of DRO and controller.
What it should do: input port to read quadrature signal
Output port to command stepper motor driver(EN/step/dir) but also possible to only read encoder input and let me use the handwheel
User interface dedicated to something like fourth axis: divisions to makes gears, holes etc with keyboard.
This has to be a standalone, no computer aside.

I know my search is a bit tricky but...

If I don't find something good, I will make my own obviously

Thank you
