FN16 FPRINT is what you need. You can then set up a TNCCMD script to automatically obtain the value. PM me if you want more details.
I've a 5 axis mill with iTNC530 and want to be able to view from status monitoring software the value of a variable set in Q99.
In Fanuc I could DPRNT this out via RS232.
Is there an equivalent in Heidenhain world please?
Or. via tcnrmo/tnccmd on a local PC it is possible to view Machine Parameters and other bits of data in the control over Ethernet but I cannot find out if its possible to view a QXX variable.
does anyone know the syntax to do that?
Or can I create a Machine Parameter and use it as a variable that tnccmd will view, something like MP99 = Q99 and the MPGET 99 (assuming for the moment that there isn't a machine parameter 99 already existing)
Hopefully.

Sorry, a bit late to reply I know. Yep I found that shortly after I posted but forgot I had. But thanks for the response.
Cutting time and anything else is possible:

With HEIDENHAIN DNC (RemoTools SDK software development package) you can solve anything...
In the end, of course, you will realize that you need the StateMonitor application.
