Default BEWARE! For you who's considering buying a Homag machine..

probably the 100th MAJOR issue we've had with our Homag machine
    since we bought it.

According to Homag, this _CANNOT_ happen.

After the machine has finished its route, it
were to unwield the sawblade and place it
in the magazine, nothing we can code or anything,
    its fully automatic.

    Proof > see the pictures.

SO: if you're considering buying a Homag machine, I would really re-consider.
Could spend days telling horror-stories about them.

If I know recent machine tech support (from issues on my new CNC) they are collaborating on ways to blame it on you or the software you're using.

Looks like Homage needs to go back to school and learn to program macros.

    Sorry to see the troubles.

    Hi!

Yeah indeed, they keep saying "that cannot happen" even if their own technician insists on that its their fault.
We even have a automatic positioning table that doesn't work, their solution was "buy a new one" and the machine is 5y old and
    not that much used..
Some cables came with damage, they blame that on their own technician, that he did it, but he did not.
    Vacuum disappears sometimes...

I could go on forever, and they NEVER accept its a fault from manufacturing, but rather blame it on us or THEIR OWN technician,
telling him/us we're stupid, pretty much..

We bought the machine for ~ 500.000$ - probably spent 100.000$ if not more on tech support, where probably 80.000$ of those should
    have been paid by Homag..

Lifting the supportphone costs a cpl of hundred bucks, just lifting it, with high minute tax, and when we're done explaining the problem,
they have to call their technicians, and we have to pay for that call aswell..

So we no longer have any contact with them, since they're a total rip-off, we simply have to deal with the problems ourselves..

Not too fun having a 5-600k $ machine, that does the same work nowadays that a 50k machine could handle with ease.

I guess things haven't change with Homag. We have a 2015 Homag which cuts the exact same solid wood parts that we cut on one of our italian CNC that we've had for about 20 years. For about a month, we've been getting vibration sensor alarms with this Homag about 10 times a day while using a 3/8 inch diameter solid carbide tool. Really annoying since the CNC stops so we have to restart the execution of the program every time. Homag says that our set up or our tool or our program or anything they can think of to blame us is the cause of this problem. They first thought that the problem was the spindle so they replaced it ( not free of charge of course... ). After replacing the spindle, the only thing that changed is that, before replacing the spindle, we had vibration sensor alarm while using a 1/4 inch diameter tool, now we have the problem while using a 3/8 inch diameter tool on a different part ( we didn't have the problem with the 3/8 tool before replacing the spindle,,, ). We've been cutting this exact same part, using the same tooling, programs and fixture on this CNC for about 5 years and we had no vibration sensor alarms when cutting these exact same parts. They say that our other CNC don't have the vibration alarm sensor and that is why we don't get alarm. It just may be we just don't need a vibration sensor to avoid spindle failure since our spindle is 20 years old on our italian CNC and we never had a problem with it... Now, the only options that we have are either keep using the CNC like this which means waisting a lot of production time or to '' bypass '' the sensor which will of course void the warranty on the spindle. It's not the first time that we see this kind of behavior from Homag. On top of that, their spindle is 2.5 times more expensive than the spindle we use on our italian CNC... So, if you are looking to buy a CNC, stay away from Homag unless you have very deep pocket and time to waist
