I have this old i-carver 40-915 XM1 cnc router that's been sitting in bosses saw mill room for a few years since we got the techno router, he wants me to see if we can get it going at the shop to finger joint some left over shorts together. It was operating before it was retired. Now when I power it on it first says "version error 8" then "error electrical error 21 reset motion". I don't know what the first one is but the second error means the handset cannot connect to the main board. I opened the cases up and checked for continuity, the cable is fine and pin to pin there is continuity. I cannot see anything that has obviously fried, worn, corroded, or otherwise broken connection on the boards. Handset board label is "gee-hmi-01" and router board label is "gee-m103-01". Firmware is 2.002. I know this model isn't supported or really around anymore officially, I'm just making a shot in the dark here if anybody has suggestions or experienced something similar.
Thanks.
