CNC Milling Machine margin error

Hi, i have a cnc machine of gravotech is8000, and using nc studio V2, the problem im facing is that whenever i move the x axis it always moves 8mm further, and y moves 5 mm further.
Can someone please help me with us.

Have you got your steps per unit configured correctly? Does this overshoot always happen the same, no matter the distance it travels, or is it proportional? Does it happen with jog moves, or just moves commanded by g-code?
