Good morning,
I have an older shopbot PRS with an upgraded controller. I have had intermittent problems with it over the few years I've owned it bot primarily used it with a dragknife to cut vynal. recently it has gone haywire again. A friend suggested that i convert it to mach 3. I need to make this machine reliable and have the full range of abilities with the three axis machine. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
John

Without knowing your machine, you might also look at Linuxcnc. It has a broader range of hardware which may let you keep more of your machine intact to keep costs down.
