JAGGED ARCS & CURVES
I have a million files for my guitar templates. I can't remember which ones are flawless, so I started OVER!!!!!! AGHHHH
So, I'm testing some templates on my cnc and when I cut around and arc or a curved area, like on a guitar, the machines stutters, most likely following the drawing. I cant really see the tiny arcs or lines, but there must be a simple way to clean up these small lines.
.I knew how to do this, but have forgotten.
I'm running Mastercam 5X, Mach3 and working on al DL 1212 Chinese router.
Thanks in advance.

I am only familiar with earlier versions of Mastercam and there used to be a number of options for cutting curves. As well as using G2 or G3 you could break down a curve or spline to a number of straight line segments and insert a value for the chordal deviation that you would find acceptable.I'm guessing that you have a value that needs to be reduced and if this is so you will get a greater number of segments which are closer to the desired curve.

The inbuilt help files should tell you or you could call the people who sold the program. As I mentioned,I'm not familiar with that version of Mastercam.

I figured it out. Or should I say.... I remembered.
In the “bar” that has the icons for all the different things MC can do, there is an icon that looks like 5stars. This is the Simplify command.
You click on that and it allows you to make that adjustment. That is , I think how long the lines in an arc can be. I set it to .0002
Worked great!
