Default Project 316k - beginners problem

Hi all, I recently was gifted a 316k and have wired it up.

It’s throwing an error code 0.0.1 when trying to run the head reset program.

    Please see photos.

    Any ideas?

I’ve also tried rearming all the emergency switches

Does it power up? I'm assuming it has a lighted button to power it up? Is it coming on?

Hi Ger21, thanks for your reply. I havent set up notifications yet so sorry for the delayed reply.

The machine turns on, in that I can turn on the main switch, the computer lights up.

When I move the machine, the coordinates on the "manual" screen change numbers. So I presume things are powered up.

When I walk into the infrared protected area, the numbers change on the screen from 0 to 1 and vice versa, so I presume those are working.

But when I push the emergency switch in and out I dont see anything change. Is there any way of testing if the circuit is running? Would the E stop circuit be on one circuit in series?

    Man

I’ve made a video showing what happens if it helps.

On the 327 we used to have, the control was different (newer?).
I think you'll need to trace the Estop circuit to find out why it'n not working.
On ours, the estop was in series with other safety switches and sensors. Maybe something else is not working.
Does it have air supplied? The air pressure switch is probably in that circuit as well.

    Thank you Ger21.

There is a vacuum pump that I can switch on and off using the switch on the front panel. Its currently rotating backwards. A electrician wired it all up for us. I believe its just a phase swap that needs to happen with the vacuum pump motor.

With the E stop circuit, I will go along and try to trace it. I will update shortly on this.

    Thank you.

Okay we still can’t find out why the emergency stop is not working. An electrician is coming in next week to have a look.

There is no voltage on the emergency circuit, but I can’t find where the feed is for the emergency circuit.

With the inputs, should they be a certain way before the machine can start. Ie on the computer screen you can see the various 1s and 0s?

    Thanks again

I would expect that you'd see an error if an input was in the wrong state, but I'm not sure, as you have an older machine than the one I used,
Unfortunately, I don't really have any more info for you.
