Default AXYZ 4008 rewire to Mach3

    Yep I am a newbie.
So about 2 years ago I bought this working AXYZ 4008 form a local company here in Denver. I did a lot of research and I rewired it to a new control system using Mach3. I have had it up and working for about a year now.

I have only recently started really making things with it. I have noticed 2 things that I don't like. 1- it puts little (like1/32") waves on some of the cuts after a direction change and 2 - the machine shakes when the X and Y axis stop. It is not violent but more than i think should be happening. I tried playing with the Steps per rev, Velocity and Acceleration and dosen't seem to mak a difference.

I am using a KL-5056D Stepper Driver and have the dip switches set to Software set and 5.6A.

In mach3 under the Steps per is set to 4076 Velocity is set to 649.2 and Acceleration is set to 75.

I got these settings for another thread on this site. I searched "AXYZ Rewire" and found a thread where they were changing over to a KFlop control system.

Not sure if i gave to much or not enough information. Let me know if you have any questions, solutions or just to let me know that i am crazy.

#1 is the same issue as #2.

It's most likely due to Mach3's linear accel/decel, which can be rather harsh, and is causing vibration or flexing in the machine.
