Help/advise with new machine

Hello,

My new Chinese machine has just arrived, still in the process of setting it all up but could not wait so wired it up, pressed home and it moved all the axis to the home position and then just sat doing nothing. on the DSP it just says wait. I can press cancel and move the axis but the limit switches don't seem to work. Any advice would be great, what am I doing wrong?
