I am trying to run a parallel surfacing path on an AXYZ router, and I can't figure out what is wrong with either my code or the machine itself. I'm doing the toolpaths with Fusion360, and the toolpaths look great in the software, as well as when viewed on a separate G code viewer. The pattern I'm trying to machine is similar to a waffle texture, and I'm using a parallel toolpath which should have the Z axis moving up and down while the gantry moves back and forth, yet when I run the code on the AXYZ, the Z plunges to a fixed depth for the first several lines of code. The next issue is that when the Z axis does start varying its height, it doesn't follow the G code and plunges far deeper than the lowest Z point in the code. It's plunging as low as .3 when it shouldn't be going any lower than .6. We've got a tool height sensor, and I've checked several times that everything is functioning correctly, so it's not an issue with tool height. The machine also has some issues with acceleration and deceleration and can't even come close to hitting the programmed feedrate, which isn't all that fast @ 300ipm.

I know this isn't a particularly high end machine, but I'm at a loss of how any professionally built machine couldn't handle a little 3D surfacing, let alone plot a different path than what the G code tells it to do.
