Biesse Rover 45 - "PLC9001 - Thermal relays KO (in 0)" error ?
Hi
Can anyone help me in the right direction with this error please?
PLC9001 - Thermal relays KO (in 0)
I have electrical diagnosis experience, schematics etc.- but if someone has been here before...
Suspect something in the many faceted EStop line.
Also the Thermal relays in question - are these standard motor protection overload devices in this context?
Many thanks

There is a break in the 24vDC emergency circuit ( estop, breaker, thermal overload tripped, etc.), yes the thermal relays are standard overload protection however some may have auxillary contactors attachaced which could be the issue as well.
Hope this helps

Hi Mark
Thanks for that - yes, the EStop line was open as you suggested - there were a lot of very dodgy NC contacts in this line so we took the decision to replace all contactors apart from the high power ones. This included various NC aux and other piggybacked NC aux contacts. Maybe a bit extreme but it's good now and we have a known good baseline for the future reliability of the machine.
Also chased a fault on the C axis drive - a surprisingly small amount of dust inside was clogging the clearance between the inner and outer bores and tripping the invertor. A two-man strip down and clean with fine emery required. PTFE lube needed to get it to reassemble cleanly - didn't want to play ball when dry due to v.small clearances - probably also why it clogged.
Cheers
