Default Converting 4x8 Water Table to Vacuum

I bought a 4x8 Chinese CNC machine last year with water table. I never ended up cutting aluminum and need to be able to cut a lot of sheet goods. I have 2 Chinese vac pumps that I plan to hook up in series.

My question pertains to the foundation of the machine and wether I really need the aluminum extrusions on there under the mdf plenum table or not.it is a JCUT 1325 model, box tubing welded frame. Would it be OK to run a sheet of mdf directly on top of the steel frame or do I need some other structure? The aluminum extrusions will require a bunch of labor to strip hard foam off them if I need to put them back on.

Well, I've seen some shopbots that have just MDF on top of the box tubing structure so I think I'll give that a go. The spacing between supports is about 8-9" so I think it will be stiff enough.
