Default Citizen L20, monitor and keyboard not responding

Our Citizen L20 powers up, and the control in the cabinet lights up when the on switch is pushed on the monitor, however the monitor and keyboard don't light up or respond to any of the switches. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Talked to our tech today, sounds like in the six months that this machine sat before we bought it the battery on the control died and now we need to reset all of the parameters. Anyone done this before?

On this site if you go to Meldas 300 problems I found a good procedure for rebooting and loading all the data

    Hi Tocchio,
We did fix it then, and many times since then ; ). I believe I did need a tech to come to our shop to reset all the parameters to get it running again, but he also did a bunch of preventative maintenance and taught me more about the machine so it was well worth it. We have three of these machines running currently. It's getting harder to get parts for them as some have been discontinued, we'll keep running them as long as we reasonably can but it seems like that window is closing.

    Thanks,
    Will

    Hi Will,

It is a great news!! We also have 06 old machine like that (E32, B12, M20 and L12) and you are right, I mean, it's getting harder to get parts for them as some have been discontinued.

hread: monitor and keyboard not responding. So, how did you fix it? Do you have a backup for that machine? The backup has 03 files named ALL1, ALL2 and ALL3. I do need the ALL1 and ALL2.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you in advanced,

    Tocchio

I would not know where to start, I haven't run our screw machines in years! I asked my screw machining manager and she said to call MMT: https://mmtproductivity.com/. They could coach you over the phone on restoring those files.

The number is 801.886.2221 for the SLC office.

    Good luck!
