    Default CNCRP4896 Base Dimensions

I apologize ahead if this is a stupid question but I need to ask.
I'm planning on making my base table for my PRO4896 out of wood with 6-6x6 pine legs and the upper frame out of 11" LVL's. I know the overall dimensions of the 8040 bed is 112.25 inches long and 52.5 inches wide. Do I make the base table to those dimensions? (A little bigger?) And how have other people anchored the 8040 to their wood bases?
    I appreciate any input.

If I were to build a base myself, I bought their leg kit, I would have made it as wide or wider than the gantry. The leg kit attaches directly to the table. The updated pro kit has different sensors, so no need to make it long enough to attach something so you don't run into them.
Think about if you are going to use the space under the table to mount a rotary axis in the future and plan ahead for that. The wire basket for the cable chain is at the bottom of the table, so you could make it wider and then have sides to contain everything so that it looks like the whole assembly sits down inside of the "box". Then you wouldn't have to worry as much of you happen to have materials propped up next to it.

If you plan on putting a vertical clamping jig up front, it wasn't that in the future, plan that out too.

I like what I have, but I will eventually make the base more contained and eventually enclose it all so that I can keep dust completely inside. Could help to reduce the noise too. But I use a router and not the spindle. Plus I have it in my basement. Watching a movie one floor up while an 8 hour finishing pass occurs makes me think of the enclosure.

    Thanks for the response.
So I'm planning on building something similar to what I saw in another post here on the forum by TurnTex "New CRP4848 Build from Central Texas".
He didn't go into how he anchored the 8040 bed to the frame but I was thinking of pieces of angle iron in between the cross bars that I can lag to the base with bolts into the 8040.

Use, I think, 8mm bolts with drop in hammer nuts. 80/20 has right angle connectors. They aren't cheap, you can find knock off ones too. The gusset brackets are beefier.

I checked in the 80/20 catalogue and it looks like either the 40-4301 or the beefier 40-4301 would work. I'm thinking 6 of them, one in each corner and then one in the middle on each side.

8020 sells on eBay as well. Scratch and dent stuff and new.
