It's not going to cut the same as a $50K machine, but it should be more than capable of cutting it.
hello guys. Looking for some input on cutting aluminum composite panels (3mm) using the 4x8 pro series machine. machine will have nema34 motors and the 3hp spindle. i currently only cut this material and do not plan on cutting anything else other than making a plenum board for it. would like to know if guys are having success or any issues cutting 3mm sheets. i do basic cut out shapes and use a v groove bit to enable me to fold parts 90 degrees. so only 2 bits i use. smallest part i cut is 3.5x6 inch triangular parts, but mostly bigger parts.
talked to a kind gentleman on the phone from cncrp and he suggested a black box hurricane to go with the plenum i cut on 3/4" mdf. then glue a 3/4" mdf spoil board on top.
i use a $50k machine now with no issues, just want to be confident in the purchase that i can continue cutting on this one. 50k machine isnt mine obv. Lots of wood being cut on these machines but not much samples of the acm materials.
any info would be great. thanks guys for your time, cheers
