    Default Slave Axis Homing

    Hi,

Using ESS & Mach3. My Slave axis works fine, except when doing ref all home. I hit ref all, the Y axis moves toward the proximity sensor as normal, but the slave axis moves a short distance then stops causing my gantry to rack. Setting the both Y/Slave axis to home together works without any faults.

I have researched this quite a bit today, kind of at my wits end. Anyone experienced this and resolved it?

    Thanks

    go to:
    Config>general config

    • uncheck A-axis in angular
    • check home Slave with master axis

    Config>Homing/Limits

    • Make sure your settings for A (the slave axis) are the same for the motor to which it is slaved (The Y in your case). You might have to check "reversed" depending on how your machine is configured.
