Hard Wire MPG vs usb MPG

I Currently have the WHB04B wireless MPG on my router not crazy about it.I have an i- mach3 M1 on my milling machine works good. I looking for input on the hardwired MPG's vs the usb type for mach3. Im currently using a smoothstepper on the router
